Function Advisory Council

Description Advisory council advises the department of the future development and sustainability of the statewide public safety communications system; provides recommendations to the department for continued funding of the system; provides recommendations concerning the establishment of rates and other charges for the system to sustain and/or expand; advise the department on standards and policies and on significant matters concerns systems and rulemaking. They will review the operations and funding of a system to ensure efficient spending of public funds, statewide standards for use and access and leveraging existing commercial infrastructure and overall operational efficiency.
