Function Federally Mandated - Statewide Board

Description The board advises the Governor on statewide workforce development strategies that maximize the state's education, training, and employment resources in support of economic development. The board must consist of individuals that meet the criteria as outlined in the federal Workforce Opportunity and Innovation Act. SWIB membership includes two legislators who serve by appointment of the Speaker of the House and the Senate President.
