Function Statewide Board

Description Board protects skeletal remains found throughout the state from disturbance and seeks the repatriation of remains and funerary objects improperly taken from unprotected burial sites. Nominations for appointments come from Montana's Tribes, the Montana Historic Preservation Officer, the Montana Archaeological Association, and the Montana Coroners' Association.
